The Blessing Song
(Global Kids Version)

Songwriters: Christopher Joel Brown / Cody Carnes / Kari Brooke Jobe / Steven Furtick

Chorus
The Lord bless you and keep you
Make His face shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace
(repeat)

Amen, amen, amen
Amen, amen, amen

[Chorus]

May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
Your family and your children
And their children, and their children

May His presence go before you
And behind you, and beside you
All around you, and within you
He is with you, He is with you
In the morning, in the evening
In your coming, and your going
In your weeping, and rejoicing

He is for you, He is for you
He is for you, He is for you
He is for you, He is for you
He is for you, He is for you

Amen, amen, amen
Amen, amen, amen (2x)

A Prayer for the Church

O God, you have built your Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. Save the community of your people from cowardly surrender to the world, from rendering unto Caesar what belongs to you. And from forgetting the eternal gospel amid the temporal pressures of our troubled days. For the unity of the Church we pray, and for fellowship across embittered lines of race and nation; to growth in grace, building in love, enlargement in service, increase in wisdom, faith, charity, and power, we dedicate our lives; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

Scripture
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (NIV)
Unity and Diversity in the Body

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
The Body of Christ

The Apostle Paul writing to the Corinthians told them that God gives spiritual gifts to individuals for the sake of the church family. He also said that all gifts are important and that all members of the church family are valuable. He calls the church family “the body of Christ”. Do you know the spiritual gift(s) that God has given you? Its vital to discover how God has uniquely gifted you to serve him. When the body of Christ is strong and healthy, members are serving with their God given gifts and realize that all members of the body of Christ are needed. The best way to discover your spiritual gift(s) is to get busy serving. What needs in our community concern you? Putting God’s love into action can bring great joy to others as the body of Christ’s light for Christ shines brightly!

How Beautiful
Words and Music by Twila Paris

How beautiful the hands that served
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful the feet that walked
the long dusty roads
and the hills to the cross.
How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

How beautiful the heart that bled,
that took all my sin and bore it instead.
How beautiful the tender eyes
that chose to forgive and never despise.
How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

And as He laid down His life
we offer this sacrifice
that we will live just as he died:
willing to pay the price,
willing to pay the price.

How beautiful the radiant Bride
who waits for her Groom
with His light in her eyes.
How beautiful when humble hearts give
the fruit of pure lives so that others may live.
How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

How beautiful the feet that bring
the sound of good news
and the love of the King.
How beautiful the hands that serve
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful, how beautiful,
how beautiful is the body of Christ.

One Bread One Body
UMH 620
Words and Music by John B. Foley
TUNE: ONE BREAD, ONE BODY

One bread, one body, one Lord of all,
One cup of blessing which we bless.
And we, though many, throughout the earth,
We are one body in this one Lord.

1. Gentile or Jew, servant or free
woman or man, no more.

2. Many the gifts, many the works
one in the Lord, of all.

3. Grain for the fields, scattered and grown, gathered to one, for all.

 Go  Serve your Lord with
Peace and Mercy.
May His love for others
 burn so brightly in your

heart that others feel its warmth!

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 NLT
