Words: William W. How

TUNE: SINE NOMINE

For all the saints, who from their labors rest,
who Thee by faith before the world confessed, Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

Thou wast their Rock, their Fortress, and their Might; Thou, Lord, their Captain in the well-fought fight; Thou, in the darkness drear, their one true Light.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, they in glory shine;
yet all are one in Thee, for all are Thine.
Alleluia, Alleluia!

From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,in praise of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Prayer
We bless your holy name, O God, for all the servants who have finished their course, and now rest in their labors. Give us grace to follow their examples of steadfastness and faithfulness, to your honor and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Scripture
Psalm 90: 1-12  NIV
Psalm 90
A prayer of Moses the man of God.

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
    throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born
    or you brought forth the whole world,
    from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

3 You turn people back to dust,
    saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.”
4 A thousand years in your sight
    are like a day that has just gone by,
    or like a watch in the night.
5 Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death--
    they are like the new grass of the morning:
6 In the morning it springs up new,
    but by evening it is dry and withered.

7 We are consumed by your anger
    and terrified by your indignation.
8 You have set our iniquities before you,
    our secret sins in the light of your presence.
9 All our days pass away under your wrath;
    we finish our years with a moan.
10 Our days may come to seventy years,
    or eighty, if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
    for they quickly pass, and we fly away.
11 If only we knew the power of your anger!
    Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due.
12 Teach us to number our days,
    that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Our Dwelling Place

On All Saints Day we remember those in our lives that we miss and have inspired us to be faithful. Moses in Psalm 90 gives us a prayer that reminds us of the brevity of life and to refocus on dwelling in God’s Will. Its always the best place to be not matter what the circumstances. Moses prays for a heart of wisdom in living this precious life God has given us. That’s a good a prayer for us to pray this All Saint’s Sunday! May the Lord comfort those of you who are especially missing loved ones this year.

The Church's One Foundation
UMH 545

Words: Samuel J Stone Music: Samuel Sebastian Wesley
TUNE: AURELIA

The church's one Foundation
is Jesus Christ her Lord;
she is His new creation,
by water and the Word;
from heaven He came and sought her
to be His holy bride;
with His own blood He bought her,
and for her life He died.

Elect from every nation,
yet one o'er all the earth;
her charter of salvation,
one Lord, one faith, one birth;
one holy Name she blesses,
partakes one holy food,
and to one hope she presses,
with every grace endued.

Though with a scornful wonder,
men see her sore oppressed,
by schisms rent asunder,
by heresies distressed,
yet saints their watch are keeping,
their cry goes up, "How long?"
And soon the night of weeping
shall be the morn of song.

Yet she on earth hath union
with God the Three in One,
and mystic sweet communion
with those whose rest is won.
O happy ones and holy!
Lord, give us grace that we,
like them, the meek and lowly,
on high may dwell with Thee.

Go, Make Of All Disciples
We bless you, God of Seed and Harvest
And we bless each other
that the beauty of this world
and the love that created it
might be expressed though our lives
and be a blessing to others
Now and always
